When you think of Zambia, you may think of the mighty Victoria Waterfalls and adventurous wildlife watching canoe-safari’s in the lower Zambezi. Though these are much worth visiting indeed, there is so much more to Zambia! The remote north of the country has hundreds of waterfalls, ancient traditions which guide its inhabitants through modern life, magnificient Muchinga mountains and relatively untouched nature reserves like the North Luangwa National Park and Kasanka National Park – known for the largest mammal migration on earth: that of the flying dogs.
We have launched this website to help you find your way through the beauties of the northern parts of Zambia. If you want to learn more about its vast biodiversity and the old local knowledge the forest communities till hold, please make sure you reserve enough time for a forest excursion or a workshop at the University of Local Knowledge, or join one of the immersive exchange programmes at places like the Kambisa! Community Centre. We know it is far out, but we are sure you will have a great time in the north of Zambia!
